Feenstra Votes to Curb Runaway Inflation, Hold Biden Administration Accountable for Costly Executive Orders
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, the Reduce Exacerbated Inflation Negatively Impacting the Nation (REIN IN) Inflation Act to curb record inflation sparked by President Biden’s wasteful economic agenda and costly executive orders. Feenstra is an original cosponsor.
“Today, House Republicans continued our Commitment To America by curbing President Biden’s inflationary executive orders and holding his administration accountable to American taxpayers and families,” said Rep. Feenstra. “Thanks to the Biden Administration’s wasteful spending agenda and costly red tape, Iowa families, farmers, and main street businesses are struggling with high costs, burdensome regulations, and smaller paychecks. As a fiscal conservative, I am working to end wasteful spending and restore fiscal responsibility in Congress to protect American taxpayers and strengthen our economy.”
The REIN IN Inflation Act would require the Biden Administration to publish the inflationary impact of executive orders prior to their enactment. More specifically, this legislation would require the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors and the Office of Management and Budget to prepare a report detailing the inflationary effects of any executive order with an estimated impact of at least $1 billion.
