Feenstra Applauds $62 Million in FEMA Disaster Relief for Iowa

February 23, 2026

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has allocated more than $62 million in federal disaster recovery grants to communities across Iowa following the devastating floods of 2024. The funding will support critical infrastructure repairs, school recovery efforts, housing restoration, and transportation improvements across the state.

“After the devastating floods that impacted our district in 2024, this federal disaster assistance will help our communities rebuild stronger than before,” said Rep. Feenstra. “From restoring roads and bridges, to repairing schools and homes, these funds will provide critical support to families, farmers, businesses, and local governments who have been diligently working to recover. I have worked directly with FEMA administrators and federal officials to advocate for the resources our communities need. I will continue working to ensure our district receives the full support necessary to rebuild and recover.”

Through continued coordination with FEMA Administrators and Department of Homeland Security leadership, and sustained outreach on behalf of impacted counties, Rep. Feenstra worked to ensure Iowa’s Fourth District received the federal support needed to rebuild critical infrastructure and restore local communities. The Office of Congressman Randy Feenstra will continue engagement with FEMA and DHS to ensure Iowa communities receive additional resources to ensure full recovery.

Some of the grant allocations across Iowa’s Fourth Congressional District include but are not limited to:

  • More than $2 million for the Iowa Department of Transportation
  • More than $2 million for the City of Minden
  • More than $8.4 million for the Rock Valley Community School District and the Rock Valley Christian School
  • More than $10 million for the City of Rock Valley and Rock Valley Residential Housing
