As tax season gets underway, farmers and manufacturers across Iowa are once again sitting down with their accountants, reviewing receipts and making tough decisions about how to reinvest in their operations.
For many family farmers, tax season isn’t just tedious paperwork — it is a reminder of how much unnecessary federal policies and taxes affect their ability to survive, grow and pass their businesses to the next generation.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull), alongside the full Iowa delegation, helped lead legislation, The Iowa National Guard Heroes Commemoration Act, to honor the lives and service of Sergeant Nate Howard of Marshalltown and Sergeant Edgar Torres-Tovar of Des Moines, who were killed in a terrorist attack in Syria. WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) applauded the passage of the SAVE America Act, legislation he cosponsored that builds on the original SAVE Act. As we enter tax season, I often hear from seniors that they have been worried about the policy fights here in Washington. After a lifetime in the workforce, raising families, serving their communities, and paying into the system, many retirees are now living on fixed incomes while tackling the cost for groceries, housing, health care, and energy. Seniors deserve results on bringing affordable solutions to the inflationary harms brought by the policies of former President Biden’s economic agenda.
One year ago, when President Trump returned to the White House, the American people gave the federal government a mandate to restore law and order, and curb the uncontrolled flow of illegal immigration. The President vowed to prioritize the American people, bring criminals to justice, and strengthen public safety. This meant reversing Biden-era open border policies, that invited chaos and put unvetted illegal immigrants before the safety of the American people.
As tax season begins, families across Iowa are taking a closer look at their paychecks, refunds, and household budgets. After years of historic inflation and economic uncertainty, many families have tasked our government with correcting the economic failures of the previous four years. That’s why I am proud to have worked alongside President Trump to deliver meaningful tax relief for working families, seniors, farmers, workers, and small businesses.
One year ago, 77 million Americans made their voices heard. President Donald Trump returned to the White House with a clear mission, to put America first, restore common sense and deliver results for working families. Twelve months later, the results speak for themselves. President Trump is keeping his promises by making Iowa stronger, safer and more economically prosperous.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week to honor the National March for Life, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) reintroduced the Protecting Girls with Turner Syndrome Act, to prohibit abortions performed solely because an unborn child receives a pre-natal diagnosis of Turner Syndrome.
Since being elected to Congress, I have been committed to ensuring Iowa taxpayer dollars are used correctly and safeguarded from fraud. Families who work hard for their money do not deserve to have their taxpayer dollars wasted by their government. That’s why I am working with President Trump and my Republican colleagues to crack down on waste, fraud, and abuse in federal programs meant to help our most vulnerable.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull), member of the House Ways and Means Committee, joined Chairman Jason Smith and all Republican members of the Committee in sending a letter to the Acting Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Commissioner Scott Bessent and IRS Chief Executive Officer Frank Bisignano to urge stronger oversight and accountability of the nation’s non-profit sector amidst the ongoing fraud scandal in Minnesota.
