Feenstra Congratulates 2024 Congressional Art Competition Winner and Three Runners-Up
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) congratulated Joaquin Mata Diaz – a student at Estherville Lincoln Central High School – for winning the 2024 Congressional Art Competition in Iowa’s 4th Congressional District with his artwork titled “The Fields of Beauty.”
Feenstra also announced three runners-up – Jaden Borchers from Unity Christian High School in Orange City, Bailey Roberts from Treynor High School, and Emily Paulson from Estherville Lincoln Central High School – whose artwork will be displayed in one of his three district offices in Sioux City, Council Bluffs, and Fort Dodge. Jaden’s artwork is titled “Corn Fields at Four,” Bailey’s artwork is titled “What’s Cluckin,” and Emily’s artwork is titled “King of the Flock.”
“I’m glad to announce that Joaquin Mata Diaz from Estherville Lincoln Central High School has won the 2024 Congressional Art Competition in the 4th Congressional District with his artwork titled ‘The Fields of Beauty.’ His work will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for an entire year for all to see,” said Rep. Feenstra. “I also want to congratulate Jaden Borchers from Unity Christian High School in Orange City, Bailey Roberts from Treynor High School, and Emily Paulson from Estherville Lincoln Central High School whose incredible artwork will be displayed in one of my three district offices. Every piece represents our proud tradition of agriculture in Iowa. I thank every student who participated in this year’s Congressional Art Competition and look forward to next year!”
