Feenstra Helps Residents at Iowa Veterans Home Continue to Receive Social Security Benefits

HULL, IOWA — Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) announced that his office helped secure an agreement between the Iowa Veterans Home and the Social Security Administration office in Marshalltown, ensuring that residents at the Iowa Veterans Home could change their direct deposit preferences over the phone instead of visiting the office in person.

“I’m glad that my office and I could work with the Social Security Administration to ensure that residents at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown could make changes to their direct deposit preferences over the phone. This fix will make it much easier for veterans to make changes to their Social Security benefits without having to leave their residences and causing needless headaches,” said Rep. Feenstra. “Our office is committed to helping Iowans any way that we can, and this is just one example of how we are working to support our veterans and their caretakers. As always, I encourage Iowans to contact our office at online at Feenstra.House.Gov or over the phone at 202-225-4426 if we can ever be of assistance with navigating the federal government.”
