Feenstra Recognizes 7th Anniversary of Tax Cuts and Jobs Act Becoming Law
HULL, IOWA — Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) issued the following statement recognizing the 7-year anniversary of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act being signed into law:
“Seven years ago, President Trump signed into law the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act — the single largest and most consequential reform of our tax code in decades. This law doubled the standard deduction for our families, cut taxes for our small businesses, helped our farmers grow and succeed, and returned investment back to the United States. Serving on the House Ways and Means Committee, I’m working to reauthorize these provisions before its 2025 expiration and include measures — like repealing the death tax and investing in paid family and medical leave — that are important to Iowa. As a strong, fiscal conservative, I will continue to advocate for sensible spending cuts and lower taxes to supercharge our economy, protect Iowa taxpayers, and restore American prosperity.”
