Feenstra Supports Legislation to Combat Maternal Mortality and Improve Maternal Healthcare Outcomes
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, the Preventing Maternal Deaths Reauthorization Act. This legislation would help states develop and deploy best practices to combat maternal mortality and improve maternal healthcare outcomes in rural communities.
“As a father of four, I believe that we must do everything possible to keep our families healthy and our communities strong. That includes supporting expecting mothers and ensuring that they receive the high-quality, affordable healthcare that they need to deliver healthy newborns,” said Rep. Feenstra. “I’m passionate about caring for our families and new mothers. It’s why I voted for the Preventing Maternal Deaths Reauthorization Act to fund lifesaving programs that connect women with the healthcare services that they deserve. Serving on the House Ways and Means Committee, I will continue to work towards solutions that foster strong families and support mothers and their children.”
