Feenstra Votes to Block Biden-Era Red Tape on American Energy Production

March 6, 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, a joint resolution nullifying a Biden-era regulation on American energy production.

“For four years, the Biden administration did everything possible to restrict domestic energy production and eliminate American energy jobs with endless red tape and burdensome regulations. An egregious example is a rule published last September that would require energy producers to comply with excessive paperwork and other reporting measures. This mandate would add unnecessary complications to oil and gas production,” said Rep. Feenstra. “I voted for a congressional resolution overturning this Biden-era regulation on our energy producers because we need to unleash our domestic energy resources to make our country energy dominant. The disastrous and costly energy policies of the Biden administration will not be tolerated with unified Republican control in Washington.”
