Feenstra Votes to Codify President Trump’s Work to Make D.C. Safe Again
WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, several pieces of legislation to codify President Trump’s work to fight crime, protect law-abiding citizens, and make D.C. safe again.
“When Iowans travel to our nation’s capital, they should feel safe walking the streets, visiting the monuments, and enjoying time with friends and family. It’s why I voted to codify President Trump’s work to fight crime, hold lawbreakers accountable, and make D.C. safe again,” said Rep. Feenstra. “Since President Trump took decisive action to clean up Washington, D.C., carjackings have fallen a staggering 87% and crime levels are down significantly. I agree with President Trump that our capital should exemplify the exceptionalism of the United States, and that means fighting crime and maintaining law and order.”
