Feenstra Votes to Help Small Businesses Recover after Disasters
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Yesterday, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) supported, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, the Rural Small Business Resilience Act.
This legislation would ensure that small businesses have full access to the financial support that they need after a disaster.
“In Iowa, we’ve faced floods, tornadoes, and derechos that have devastated our communities and hurt our businesses on Main Street, which are the backbone of our economy. When disaster strikes, we need to ensure that our small businesses have the immediate financial support that they need to get back on their feet,” said Rep. Feenstra. “That’s why I voted for the Rural Small Business Resilience Act so that our small businesses can access disaster assistance, recover as quickly as possible, and keep employees on payroll. Serving on the House Ways and Means Committee, I’ll continue to support policies that strengthen our business community and grow our main streets.”
