Feenstra Votes to Impose Sanctions on the International Criminal Court

June 4, 2024

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, legislation that would impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) for issuing arrest warrants for Israeli officials. This bill would also apply to other foreign bodies that unlawfully target American allies.

“The International Criminal Court made a grave mistake by targeting our greatest ally in the Middle East – Israel. The ICC’s decision to issue arrest warrants for prominent Israeli leaders – including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – sets a dangerous precedent that must be stopped,” said Rep. Feenstra. “That’s why I voted to impose sanctions on the ICC for this reckless misconduct and strip all U.S. funding for this shameful organization. The people of Israel have every right to protect their homeland and defend themselves from Hamas terrorists.”
