Feenstra Votes to Impose Sanctions on the International Criminal Court for Indiscriminately Targeting Israeli Officials

January 9, 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, legislation that would impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) for issuing arrest warrants for Israeli officials. This bill would also apply to other foreign bodies that unlawfully target American allies.

“On October 7th, 2023, Hamas terrorists broke a ceasefire, invaded Israel, slaughtered 1,200 innocent people, and took hostages – many of whom have since been killed. For the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants for Israeli government officials who are working to protect their nation is not only unwarranted, but also completely offensive,” said Rep. Feenstra. “We cannot let the ICC get away with these awful stunts while the people of Israel continue to bravely fight for their very existence. It’s why I voted to impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court for its dangerous and abhorrent actions. As our closest ally in the Middle East, I will always stand with Israel against vicious terrorists.”
