Feenstra Votes to Prevent Fraudsters from Receiving Assistance from the Small Business Administration
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed, the Assisting Small Businesses Not Fraudsters Act.
This legislation would ban individuals convicted of certain financial crimes from receiving assistance from the Small Business Administration (SBA).
“I voted for the Assisting Small Businesses Not Fraudsters Act to send a clear message that we will not tolerate criminals who take advantage of the American taxpayer. Individuals who have defrauded the government and been convicted of financial crimes should not receive a penny of assistance from the Small Business Administration,” said Rep. Feenstra. “Since I was first elected to Congress, I promised that I would stand up for our small businesses and rural main streets, and my vote for this legislation upholds that commitment. I will not tolerate criminals, fraudsters, and crooks who rob American taxpayers.”
