Feenstra Votes to Rescind Biden-Era Regulation on Domestic Rubber Tire Manufacturing
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, a resolution rescinding a Biden-era regulation that was finalized on November 29th, 2024, and targeted the domestic rubber tire manufacturing sector.
“On his way out of office, President Biden saddled American businesses and manufacturers with costly and burdensome regulations. One of his reckless decisions specifically targeted our rubber tire manufacturing sector, forcing this vital industry to comply with expensive regulations and other red tape on very short notice,” said Rep. Feenstra. “This move by the Biden administration would only raise costs for our families, hurt our domestic manufacturing, and eliminate good-paying American jobs. I voted to rescind this Biden-era regulation on our tire manufacturers because we need to encourage domestic manufacturing and bring critical supply chains back home – not outsource more jobs and investment to China.”
