WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, the Choice in Automobile Retail Sales Act. This legislation would prohibit the Environmental Protection Agency administrator from implementing or enforcing a proposed EPA rule requiring 67% of new vehicle sales to be electric by 2032.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for the Housing our Military Veterans Effectively (HOME) Act, which would help reduce homelessness among Iowa veterans.

The HOME Act was originally sponsored by U.S. Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-OR) and passed the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 408 to 10.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last week, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) signed a letter led by U.S. Rep. Tracey Mann (R-KS) urging U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack to prevent the importation of Paraguayan beef into the United States given the proven existence of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) in Paraguay. USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) recently published a final rule that will allow the importation of beef from Paraguay.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, a resolution nullifying the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s expanded enforcement of Section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act, which would increase the cost of loans, restrict capital for businesses, and stall economic development in rural communities.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Reps. Randy Feenstra (R-IA) and Mike Bost (R-IL) introduced the Snap Back Inaccurate SNAP Payments Act, which would strengthen the integrity of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – commonly referred to as SNAP – by cutting down on overpayments of SNAP benefits. This legislation would increase the accuracy of SNAP payment error rate (PER) calculations by amending the tolerance level from $54 to $0.
