Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) helped introduce the Stop Insider Trading Act which would ensure that Members of Congress cannot profit from insider information. 

This bill would ban Members of Congress, their spouses, and their dependent children from purchasing individual stocks from publicly traded companies and would require a public seven-day advance notice before selling any individual stocks while they are serving as elected officials.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Reps. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) and Jimmy Panetta (D-CA) reintroduced the Advancing Cutting Edge (ACE) Agriculture Act – to double funding from $50 million to $100 million for the Agriculture Advanced Research and Development Authority (AgARDA) administered through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

U.S. Senators Roger Marshall (R-KS) and Michael Bennet (D-CO) have reintroduced companion legislation in the U.S. Senate.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) cosponsored the Deporting Fraudsters Act, which would ensure that illegal immigrants who defraud the U.S. government or steal taxpayer dollars are deported and inadmissible for re-entry into the United States.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) issued the following statement praising unanimous House passage of the Crime Victims Fund Stabilization Act. This legislation would support victims of crime in Iowa and nationwide by redirecting money recovered from fraudsters to the Crime Victims Fund (CVF).

Feenstra is a cosponsor of this legislation.

As a lifelong Iowan and proud representative of one of the most productive agricultural districts in the country, I will always stand up for Iowa farmers and our rural communities. Since my first day in office, I have been committed to delivering real results for the farmers who feed and fuel or country and the world. Whether that be keeping our farmland out of the hands of foreign adversaries, keeping farmers safe on the job, or ensuring Iowa has a strong voice at the federal level, I take my job serving our producers very seriously.
