More on Budget & Spending
Over the last several months, President Joe Biden has desperately traversed the country trying to resuscitate his plummeting poll numbers and reassure American families that his economic agenda is working. He claims that multi-trillion-dollar investments in green energy and excessive government spending will propel our economy into unprecedented heights of American prosperity.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra issued the following statement after the national debt surpassed $33 trillion for the first time in American history:
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) issued the following statement regarding the Congressional Budget Office’s annual long-term budget outlook, which was officially published in late June.
On June 28th, President Biden traveled to Chicago — the epitome of failed liberal policies — to tout the so-called successes of his economic agenda, which he has coined “Bidenomics.” According to the President, “Bidenomics” has unleashed the greatest economic boom in American history. Allegedly, thanks to his economic plan, prosperity abounds, families thrive, our economy grows, and small businesses succeed. Those who don’t see the benefits of “Bidenomics” just haven’t been watching — according to Biden, of course.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) helped introduce – alongside U.S. Rep. Ron Estes (R-KS) and Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee Jason Smith (R-MO) – the Unfair Tax Prevention Act to discourage foreign countries from attacking U.S. jobs and tax revenues through the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)’s Pillar 2 so-called Under Taxed Profit Rule (UTPR) surtax.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, the Middle Class Borrower Protection Act, which will repeal President Biden’s tax on Americans with strong credit scores to subsidize those with lower scores.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for a congressional resolution to override President Biden’s veto of Republican legislation to stop his $400-billion student-loan bailout.
It’s no secret that fiscal responsibility is sorely needed in Congress. Our nation is $32 trillion in debt, American families hold a record $986 billion in credit card debt, interest rates are skyrocketing, inflation remains persistent, and small business optimism has plummeted to a 10-year low. Evidently, the American economy is in tough shape, largely due to President Biden’s wasteful spending policies and reckless regulatory agenda. For the sake of our children and grandchildren, we must do better.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) helped unveil the Republican Study Committee’s (RSC) FY 2024 budget proposal, which balances the federal budget in just seven years, slashes $16.3 trillion in wasteful government spending over ten years, and cuts $5.1 trillion in taxes.
Our nation is more than $31.4 trillion in debt. It is a figure so daunting that it seems almost insurmountable to resolve. To put this number into perspective, every American taxpayer — already facing record-high inflation, skyrocketing interest rates, and economic instability — is on the hook for nearly $95,000 in federal debt. Our current fiscal trajectory is unsustainable and financially irresponsible. We need to implement commonsense spending reforms and promote policies that encourage economic growth and reduce our crippling national debt.
