More on Veterans

Our veterans are heroes who have dedicated their life to service and risked their own safety to protect our freedoms and defend our flag at home and abroad. On my 36 County Tour, I’ve met with incredible veterans who have relayed their stories of bravery and patriotism to me, emphasizing the importance of protecting our constitutional rights and keeping America the world’s most feared superpower. Upon completing their service and returning to civilian life, our veterans deserve the benefits that they were promised and have earned.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, the Veteran Fraud Reimbursement Act.
This legislation would cut red tape and help veterans who are victims of fraud recover their stolen benefits in full.

Every night, across our country, tens of thousands of veterans – our nation’s most cherished and honorable citizens – sleep on the streets. It’s wrong and unacceptable. The men and women who answered the call to serve our country in uniform deserve better, including a safe, warm place to call home.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for the Housing our Military Veterans Effectively (HOME) Act, which would help reduce homelessness among Iowa veterans.
The HOME Act was originally sponsored by U.S. Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-OR) and passed the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 408 to 10.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last month, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) helped introduce – alongside U.S. Rep. Mike Carey (R-OH) – the Veterans HSA Access Act of 2023. This legislation would amend the Internal Revenue Code to allow disabled veterans who were injured in a non-service-related incident to continue to contribute to a tax-free health savings account (HSA) alongside receiving their earned VA benefits.

The men and women who have served our country at home and abroad are heroes. Their sacrifices – many unseen and untold – have secured the blessings of freedom for generations of Americans. From missing important family events to facing unthinkable danger on the battlefield, their stories of resilience and patriotism are not only an inspiration, but also a sobering reminder that the price of freedom is not free.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for two pieces of legislation – the Veterans Benefits Improvement Act and the Veterans Education Oversight Expansion Act – to ensure that Iowa veterans receive the benefits that they have earned and deserve.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, the Fiscal Year 2024 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies (MilCon-VA) Appropriations package.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last night, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, four pieces of legislation to support our nation’s veterans.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last night, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, five pieces of bipartisan legislation to support America’s veterans and their families.
