More on Energy

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, the Gas Stove Protection and Freedom Act. This legislation will stop any attempt by the Biden Administration’s Consumer Product Safety Commission to ban gas stoves in American homes, end their continued sale, or impose burdensome red tape that would effectively make gas stoves unaffordable.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted to overturn an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rule that would impose costly, new emissions standards on heavy-duty freight trucks sold in 2027 and beyond. It passed the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 221 to 203.

Blessed with an abundant supply of domestic energy sources, American families should always have access to affordable gasoline 365 days a year. In the United States — where we used to produce more energy than we could consume — filling up at the gas station shouldn’t break the bank, energy shortages shouldn’t be common, and our Strategic Petroleum Reserve shouldn’t be drained for political purposes.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) cosponsored a resolution which expresses that an “all of the above” approach to energy production is the best and most viable route to address energy policy and restore America’s energy independence.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) issued the following statement after the Biden Administration formally authorized an emergency waiver to allow for the sale of E-15 this summer:

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, during a House Agriculture Committee hearing, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) urged EPA Administrator Michael Regan and the Biden Administration to approve an emergency waiver to allow for the sale of low-cost E-15 this summer.

This week, on the heels of expanding the invasive and costly jurisdiction of WOTUS, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) unveiled crushing, new regulations on American vehicle manufacturers. At President Biden’s direction, new cars, trucks, and tractors sold in the United States would be required to comply with his administration’s foolish plans to manipulate our free-market economy to impose electric vehicles on rural America, increase our reliance on China for critical minerals, and advance his Green New Deal agenda.

In 2019, the United States became energy independent for the first time in 62 years – a major milestone for our nation’s energy and national security. That same year, according to the Energy Information Administration (EIA), the price of a gallon of gasoline averaged $2.60 nationwide and just $2.49 in the Midwest while household electricity bills averaged $115 for American families.
