WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) released the following statement criticizing the Environmental Protection Agency for failing to finalize Renewable Volume Obligations (RVOs) for 2026 – 2028.

In January, just a few weeks before it was reported that the United States officially surpassed Qatar as the world’s largest exporter of liquefied natural gas (LNG), the Biden administration made a devastating announcement that threatens our nation’s status as an international energy powerhouse. On January 26th, President Biden unilaterally halted federal approvals for pending and future applications of LNG export terminals. While this reckless decision was made to appease a radical portion of his political base, the consequences will be far more widespread.

On March 20th, President Biden authorized the largest government mandate of electric vehicles in American history. His administration finalized a rule first proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), dramatically increasing the number of electric vehicles that automobile manufacturers would be required to assemble, and dealerships would subsequently be required to sell.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-IA) and Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID) led over 150 of their colleagues in a letter to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Michael Regan urging the Biden administration to overturn its de facto electric mandate on trucks, tractors, buses, and semis.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) released the following statement after the Foreign Trade Chamber at Brazil’s Ministry of the Economy (CAMEX) upheld an 18% tariff on American ethanol on June 13, 2024:

HULL, IOWA – Yesterday, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) and Iowa Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Joni Ernst (R-IA) led a letter to President Biden and EPA Administrator Michael Regan urging the Biden administration to amend its decision to set Renewable Volume Obligation (RVO) levels well below industry production capacity and instead increase RVO levels for homegrown Iowa biofuels.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) issued the following statement in response to President Biden’s decision to release one million barrels of gasoline from our nation’s strategic reserves:

Every month, when Iowa families look over their finances and put together a budget, the price of gas is always an unpredictable factor in spending decisions. While people in urban centers have access to other transportation options, in rural Iowa, we drive – everywhere. Going to work, driving to church, seeing friends in other communities, and taking our kids to school and practice all require a car – and in the wintertime, an electric vehicle just won’t cut it.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) issued the following statement after the Biden administration finalized a rule proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency to require 67% of new light-duty vehicles and 46% of medium-duty vehicles to be electric by 2032.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) – alongside the entire Iowa congressional delegation – sent a letter urging the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to approve year-round sales of E-15 beginning this year. Currently, the EPA has authorized year-round sales in eight states – including Iowa – beginning in 2025.
