More on Energy

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today,U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull), alongside U.S. Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA), helped introduce the Next Generation Fuels Act, which would phase in higher gasoline octane levels through the greater use of ethanol. By increasing the amount of ethanol that can be utilized in the fuel supply, Iowa families will see lower prices at the pump.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, H.R. 1 – the Lower Energy Costs Act – which would cut burdensome red tape, lower gas prices for American families, reduce input costs for Iowa farmers, and end President Biden’s attacks on American energy production.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) delivered remarks on the House Floor in favor of H.R. 1 – the Lower Energy Costs Act – which would cut burdensome red tape, lower gas prices for American families, reduce input costs for Iowa farmers, and end President Biden’s war on American energy production.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) helped introduce the Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act of 2023 alongside his Midwestern colleagues Reps. Adrian Smith (R-NE) and Angie Craig (D-MN). This legislation allows for the year-round sale of ethanol blends higher than 10% – including E-15 – at gas stations nationwide permanently.

Domestic energy production – particularly ethanol and biodiesel – is critical to Iowa’s economy and our national security. In Iowa, our biofuels industry supports roughly 57,000 jobs and generates $7.2 billion towards our GDP. Iowa is also home to 42 ethanol plants and 11 biodiesel facilities, which respectively produce 4.7 billion gallons of ethanol and 410 million gallons of biodiesel annually.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) introduced legislation to defend America’s rural energy production from China and other foreign adversaries that wish to purchase American farmland and other land critical to America’s renewable energy and economic security.

Over the last few years, Iowa families and farmers have been forced to empty their wallets at the gas station as fuel costs soared nationwide. Between federal restrictions on domestic energy production and record inflation, the average price of gas eclipsed nearly five dollars last summer, draining family budgets and stretching paychecks thin. Fortunately, in Iowa, we have a homegrown solution to meet our energy needs: E-15.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) introduced three pieces of legislation to pump the breaks on President Biden’s reckless subsidization of the electric vehicle industry, research the potential of biofuels to power jet engines, and develop a commercially viable fuel cell system for cars and trucks powered exclusively by biofuels. Feenstra first introduced these three bills in the 117th Congress.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last week, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) helped send a bipartisan, bicameral letter to EPA Administrator Michael Regan and Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young urging the Biden Administration to make E-15 available year-round permanently. The effort was led by Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) in the U.S. Senate.

Commitment. It’s a word that evokes hope, promises leadership, and delivers results. No other word in the English language constitutes a more ironclad bond between individuals than a commitment. Roughly four months ago, House Republicans made our own commitment – a Commitment to America – that we would rebuild our economy, end wasteful spending, stand up to the Chinese Communist Party, and defend the American Dream for every person, family, and community who calls our great nation home.
